The EU's harmonisation efforts aim to create a more stable, predictable, and efficient insolvency framework. Although full harmonisation may yet seem intangible, a minimum level of harmonisation is imperative for Europe’s financial resilience.

To Vima: The ECB might embark on an interest rate reduction, but still monetary policy will remain tight at a time when fiscal policy is expected to be tighter. At the same time there is a need to increase spending, especially on defence. What consequences do you see?
The European Stability Mechanism (ESM) will launch 6-months Bills of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) by auction. An issue volume up to EUR 1.1 billion is envisaged.

Bidding period: Tuesday, 16 April 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. CET
Value date: Thursday, 18 April 2024
