(Luxembourg) - The European Stability Mechanism is pleased to announce the publication of its Social Bond Framework today.  
 
This means that, when a euro area member state applies for and draws upon the recently-introduced Pandemic Crisis Support credit line from the ESM, the loan can be supported by the issuance of Social Bonds in addition to conventional bonds and bills.
 

Rai3: Regarding the ESM’s conditions, can you confirm that there are no exit conditions?

We are happy to announce that the ESM has published the 2023 ESG Summary Report. In this second edition, the report includes the ESG scores for both the ESM and EFSF balance sheets, as well as a historical perspective for our loans' ESG scores. Furthermore, the ESM has begun integrating climate risk considerations into its risk management framework, as well as incorporating climate-related risks in the ESM's monitoring framework.

We have enjoyed the economic benefits of a single market for goods and services for nearly 30 years. But a united market for savings, investments, and capital raising in the European Union (EU) has so far proved largely elusive.
