Silvia Calò

Senior Economist, Economic Risk Analysis

Silvia Calò is a Senior Economist in the Economic Risk Analysis division at the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) since 2022.

Before joining the ESM, she worked at the Central Bank of Ireland and the European Central Bank.

Ms Calò held post-doctoral fellowships at Bicocca University and at the at the European University Institute, where she was affiliated to the Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa chair. She holds a doctoral degree from Trinity College Dublin, and graduated in Economics, Statistics and Social Sciences at Bocconi University. Ms Calò’s research interests focus on international macroeconomics and fiscal policy.
