Marketta Henriksson

Marketta Henriksson is Director of the Secretariat for EU Affairs at the Ministry of Finance, Finland. She joined the Ministry in 1998. In her current position she is member of the EU Economic and Financial Committee Alternates (EFCA) and the Eurogroup Working Group Alternates (EWGA), and has chaired both committees since 2016. She is also acting member of the EU Economic and Financial Committee (EFC) and the Eurogroup Working Group (EWG) as well as member of the Board of Directors of the European Stability Mechanism and the Board of Directors of the European Financial Stability Facility.
 
Besides the Ministry of Finance, where she has held several positions at the Economics Department and the Secretariat for International Affairs, Ms Henriksson has served spells at the European Commission, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the Bank of Finland. 
 
Ms Henriksson graduated in 1998 from the Helsinki School of Economics, where she also gained a PhD in Economics in 2006.
