Nicolas Jost

Mr Nicolas Jost is the ESM Director for Luxembourg and on 1 March 2023, the ESM Board of Directors appointed him to the Budget Review and Compensation Committee. In 2023, he was appointed as Deputy Secretary General to the Ministry of Finance of Luxembourg. Mr Jost has extensive experience in the public sector. He started his career as Advisor in the Ministry of Finance in Luxembourg, followed by a position at the International Monetary Fund as Senior Advisor to the Executive Director after which he returned to the Luxembourg public service. From 2020 to 2022, he served as Senior Advisor/Risk Officer in the Ministry of Finance in Luxembourg. 

Mr Jost acquired a Master of Public Administration in Public and Economic Policy from the London School of Economics following his engineering studies at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
