Lluis Sanchis i Herrero

Lluis Sanchis is a Senior Policy Strategist in the Policy Strategy and Institutional Relations division at the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) which he joined in July 2017. He manages the relationship with credit rating agencies for the ESM and EFSF, monitors rating developments in the euro area and contributes to other strategic topics related to the ESM’s stability support instruments.

Prior to joining the ESM, Mr Sanchis worked as a credit rating analyst for Moody’s where he covered sub-sovereign and government-related issuers in Europe since 2015. He had previously gained public sector experience with his traineeships at the European Commission (DG ECFIN) and at the European Central Bank (Market Infrastructure & Payments Department).

He holds an M.A. in European Economic Studies with a specialisation in European Law and Economic Analysis from the College of Europe in Bruges. He graduated in Economics from Valencia University and from Nantes University. He is a CFA chartholder since November 2022.
