
Amela Memetaj
Amela Memetaj is a Trainee in the Economic Risk Analysis division at the European Stability Mechanism (ESM).
Prior to joining the ESM, she worked as an Associate at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), where she provided research assistance within the Monetary Economics Department. Amela holds an MSc in International and Monetary Economics from the University of Basel and the University of Bern, and a BSc in International Economics and Finance from Bocconi University.
Her research interests span international and monetary economics, as well as digital currencies—particularly central bank digital currencies (CBDCs)—and their impact on monetary policy transmission and monetary stability.
