Human resources information system and data trainee
Job description
Deadline for application: 18 March 2026. We are looking for a Human Resources (HR) information system and data trainee to help produce and leverage HR data and contribute to enhancing organisational effectiveness for the HR and Organisation division at the European Stability Mechanism (ESM). The role entails gathering, analysing, and summarising data and trends from multiple sources to support HR strategic decisions and daily activities. You will also help embed best practices in the use of the HR information system and support the development of new functionalities to further automate HR processes. The traineeship will work in close collaboration with other HR specialists, be supervised by the Rewards and Employment Team Lead, and report to the Head of HR and Organisation.
Key Accountabilities
- Support HR specialists in improving the information system, including data cleansing and ensuring accuracy and currency of information.
- Help improve existing information system reports and assist in building new reports using Oracle systems.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of dashboards and reports to monitor key metrics such as turnover, headcount, diversity, and employee engagement.
- Produce clear and visually engaging charts, graphs, and dashboards to help communicate data-driven insights to the HR team and other internal stakeholders.
- Suggest ideas or improvements to make HR processes, tools, and practices more efficient and user-friendly.
- Participate in different HR projects and procurement processes, gaining exposure to different HR services.
Key Background & Experience
A candidate (or recent graduate within one year of graduation) for an advanced university degree, preferably in IT, HR systems management, business administration, mathematics, or any other discipline related to the content of the traineeship.
- Knowledge and/or prior experience in data querying languages and data visualisation tools. Proficiency in PowerBI is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of Oracle HCM and Oracle OTBI is a strong asset.
Exposure to HR processes, practices, and key metrics (e.g. turnover, retention, engagement) would be an asset.
Interest in artificial intelligence and new technologies.
Excellent oral and written English skills.
