Taurimas Valys is Lithuania‘s Minister of Finance since 14 July 2026. Previously, he served as Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs (2025-2026), and as Advisor to the Prime Minister for economic diplomacy and efficiency of state enterprises (2025). Mr Valys was also Member of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He was also Assistant Professor of Partnership at Vilnius University Business School and held managerial positions in the private sector.
Mr Valys has a Master’s degree in law from Mykolas Romeris University and is currently pursuing a PhD in social sciences.
