Zafeira Kastrinaki

Zafeira Kastrinaki is the Chair of the Council of Economic Advisors at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Greece. She also serves as Chair of the EPC Energy and Climate Change Working Group under the ECOFIN Council.

Before her current role, she pursued an academic career as Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at Brunel University, where she now holds the title of Honorary Professor. She has also held positions at the University of Bath, University College London, and Imperial College London. Her research interests focus on microeconomics and industrial organisation, with an emphasis on innovation and sustainable growth, firm dynamics and corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, strategic risk management, and competition policy. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick.
