Mario Prodi
Head of Risk Management
Mario Prodi is Head of Risk Management at the European Stability Mechanism, leading a team of around 10 risk professionals. Mr Prodi oversees credit, market, liquidity, operational, and information security risks, and regularly advises boards and senior management on risk topics.
Prior to joining the ESM in 2021, Mr Prodi developed his career in UniCredit Group, covering executive and senior roles in financial and non-financial risk areas. He started his career in investment banking as an interest rates derivatives trader.
Mr Prodi holds a master’s degree in Political Science (Economic studies) from the University of Bologna.
