"European Financial Stability: Status and Outlook"

Overview

At this event, Klaus Regling will discuss the future of European economic and financial stability.

After years of economic crisis, indicators confirm a recovery with a strong positive outlook for the euro area. Investors increasingly see the euro area as a haven of stability and public support for the single currency is clearly above pre-crisis levels. What key factors are behind these positive developments, and what are remaining sources of vulnerability for the euro area financial system? What are the strengths and weaknesses of the euro area economy compared to the US economy?

This event is part of the US and Americas Programme ongoing series on Transatlantic Perspectives on Common Economic Challenges. This series examines some of the principal global challenges that we face today and potentially differing perspectives from across Europe and the US.

Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
