Mr Paluš is Head of the Financial Unit at the Permanent Representation of Slovakia to the European Union and represents Slovakia as a Board Director at the ESM, and as a member of the Economic and Financial Committee of the EU. Prior to his current positions, Mr Paluš held a number of other senior positions in Brussels and Bratislava. He was the Chairman of the EU Council Working Group of the Financial Counsellors during the Slovak Presidency in the European Union. Previously, from February 2012 until April 2015, he served as Financial Services Attaché at the Permanent Representation of Slovakia to the European Union. Mr Paluš has acquired extensive experience in financial sector issues having worked as Chief Supervisor and Principal Regulatory Expert at Slovakia’s central bank from 2006 until 2012.
Mr Paluš studied in the Johannes Kepler University in Austria and holds a Master’s degree in Investment, Banking & Finance from the University of Economics in Bratislava.
