Magnus Brunner

Magnus Brunner was appointed Federal Minister of Finance of the Republic of Austria on 6 December 2021. Prior to that, he served in government as State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology. Mr Brunner studied law at the University of Innsbruck and the University of Vienna, followed by Postgraduate studies at King's College, London (LL.M.) and in Business Administration at the University of Hagen, Germany.
He started his career at the Austrian Federation of Industry and has since held various management and political positions, including as a member and Vice-President of the Federal Council of the Austrian Parliament.
