Odile Renaud Basso became the Director General of the French Treasury in 2016. She served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Caisse des Dépôts, Director of Savings Funds from September 2013 to June 2016, as well as serving as a Member of the Caisse des Dépôts Management Committees. From 2012 to 2013 Ms Renaud Basso served as Deputy Director of the Office of the Prime Minister. From 2010 to 2012 she served as the Deputy Head of Cabinet of the President of the European Council of the Office of the European Commission President.

From 2005 to 2010 Ms Renaud Basso served as European Commission Director of the DG Ecfin. From 2004 to 2005 she was the Chief of the International Affairs Division at the Treasury Department and from 2003 to 2004 as the Chief of the Financial Regulation Division. Furthermore, she served as Deputy Director from 2001 to 2003, whereby she was encharged with European and Miltilateral Affairs at the Treasury Department. From 1999 to 2001, Ms Renaud Basso was Chief of the SME Financing Office, Secretary General of the Comite interministeriel de restructuration industrielle (Ciri) at the Treasury Department. From 1996 to 1999, she served as the Secretary General of the Club de Paris, Chief of the Office in charge of Debt and Credit Insurace at the Treasury Department. From 1994 to 1996 she was Deputy Chief of the Afrique-Zone Franc Office at the Treasury Department. Before this, she was Auditor at Cour des Comptes from 1990 to 1994.

Mrs Renaud Basso is an alumna of the Ecole nationale d'administration (ENA) (Jean Monnet promotion -1990), and is a graduate of the Paris Instiute d'Etudes Politiques (IEP - 1988).
