Since 2002, Christos Patsalides has served as Alternate Governor for Cyprus at the EBRD and World Bank, Member of the Administrative Council of the Council of Europe Development Bank. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of the Cyprus Telecommunication Authority since 2013.
From 1997 to 2013 he served as Chairman of the Cyprus Grain Commission. In 2010, he served as Chair of the Board of Directors of Cyprus Airways as well as Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence. From 2007 to 2010 he served as member of the Board of Directors of Cyprus Airways. Mr Patsalides served as Vice-Chairman of Cyprus Airway Duty-Free Shops from 2004 to 2008 and as Vice-Chairman of the Cyprus Development Bank from 2003 to 2005. From 2001 to 2003 he served as Director of the Office of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, and as member of the Executive Board of Cyprus Airways from 1999 to 2003. From 1996 to 2001, Mr Patsalides served as Director of Finance, and as a member of the Executive Board of the Cyprus Petroleum Refinery from 1994 to 2001. From 1991 to 1998, he served as a member of the Cyprus Organisation for the Hallmarking of Precious Metals. He held various posts at the Ministry of Finance since 1981, including serving as Senior Economic Officer (1991), Economic Officer (1988, 1983) and Economic/Statistical Officer (1981).
Mr Patsalides holds a degree in Economics from Athens University and a Master of Science in Economics from London University.
