Peter Kažimír (1968) has served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Slovakia since 2012.

From 1993 to 1995 he was an assistant tax advisor at Shubert and Partners Business and Law office. From 1995 to 2006 he served as a member and Director of the Board of Directors of VIVANT,a.s. He served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Sceptrum, a.s. Brno from 1997 to 2006. From 1999 to 2006 he served as a member of the Supervisory Board of DDP Credit Suisse Life and Pensions.

Mr Kažimír served as State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance for the Slovak Republic from 2006 to 2010 as well as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Nation Nuclear Fund. From 2010 to 2012 he was a Member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic and Vice-Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee. In 2010 he served as Vice-Chairman of SMER-SD.

Mr Kažimír obtained a degree in Foreign Trade Economics from the Faculty of Commerce at the University of Economics in Bratislava.
